Wanderstop Steam Launch

Wanderstop is a gentle story about tea and change. You play as Alta, a fallen warrior running a teahouse in a magical forest, serving the travelers who pass through. But Alta doesn’t want to be there. And if she leaves, the teahouse will become nothing more than a distant, painful memory.
The core gameplay loop of Wanderstop revolves around the ritual of running the teahouse. It begins with growing and harvesting the ingredients needed for your brews, and ends with mixing them in a delightfully peculiar tea-making machine. Along the way, you’ll meet a variety of characters who stop by your shop, learn their stories, and figure out which blend is just right for them.

In your free time, you can tidy up the shop, decorate it to your taste, or simply sit on a bench with a cup of tea and meditate. Doing nothing is perfectly fine. The teahouse rewards patience—and it resists anyone driven only by endless growth.
And that’s exactly why Alta can’t stay. That’s why she’ll never be able to make it work. This isn’t her. She’s a fighter! Who would dare try to turn the greatest warrior in the world into a meek little shopkeeper? With everything she’s capable of... No, no, no, she won’t do it—she can’t do it.

Wanderstop is a game by the team at Ivy Road, featuring Davey Wreden (creator of The Stanley Parable and The Beginner’s Guide), Karla Zimonja (co-creator of Gone Home and Tacoma), and Daniel “C418” Rosenfeld (composer of Minecraft’s soundtrack).
